We've just upgraded our transmission system to improve the quality of reception and audio quality for listening on 106.8FM in the Dublin area.

Part of this upgrade included a revised Programme Identification Code (PI Code) which is encoded into our signal. This information tells your car radio important information and enables your radio to display the station name (Ctry Mix).

On some car radios, it will be necessary to re-save your Country Mix preset to prevent your car radio from occasionally searching for our old technical data (the information 'stored' in your radio wont match with what is now encoded into our signal until you re-save the preset).

How to fix it

To fix the problem follow these simple steps:

1. Tune to 106.8FM
2. Hold in the preset button you wish to use for Country Mix for a few seconds (4-5 secs is normally sufficient)
3. On most radios you'll hear a beep or tone to indicate that you have saved a new preset
4. Job done
